In 2011 the legendary magazine Cinefantom, which united directors of parallel cinema, will celebrate its 25th anniversary. Marking the importance and uniqueness of art-house experimental cinema on the whole, from the birth of the cinema till our days, the CINEFANTOM Club is elaborating the world program of celebrating its jubilee.

In 2010 Russian National Film Commission will start its work on the international market. The National Film Commission will pursue two principal objectives: to create a net of regional film commissions and to develop Russia as a competitive country for international film production. During the presentation, there will be presented the opportunities of film production in a number of Russian regions (participants: Sverdlovsk District, Tver district, St. Petersburg, Vologda District and others) as well as the opportunities for the leading Russian film studios to participate in international film projects (participants Russian World Studios, Solar Film Studio, Gorky Film Studio, Sverdlovsk Film Studio).

04:00 PM - Presentation of VOICES Film Festival (Vologda Independent Cinema from European Screens Festival)
Promoting an independent, young and creative European cinema in a traditional Russian town - this is the challenge of the Vologda Independent Cinema from European Screens Festival's first edition.
The VOICES Festival, which will take place from July 4th to 9th 2010 in the city of Vologda, will present a selection of first and second full-length films in its competition, alongside with a wide-range of out-of-competition program.
Scriptwriter, director and producer Sergei Bodrov, highly recognized for his films ‘The Prisoner of Caucasus’ and ‘Mongol’ (both nominated for Oscars), will preside over the international jury.
The particularity of the VOICES Festival lies in its concept: it is a festival-discovery. Indeed, it will feature competition, out-of-competition (various European panoramas, retrospectives…) and interaction between participants through master classes, roundtables, professional meetings… in the unique atmosphere of the "real Russia", full of rich cultural discoveries.
The festival is organized by the French company ID-Réel, specialized in territorial marketing and event management at a national and international level. Its business activities branch out especially to Europe and Russia.
